I am a Social Media Strategist for the Gaxiola Financial Group and Owner/Social Media Coach of Red 7 Marketing. As a Social Media Strategist I manage all marketing communications for the Gaxiola Financial Group that includes: social media, website, public relations, and event planning. Recently I worked as the Chief Content Officer and Social Community Director at Wired Advisor.
I frequently participate as a commentator on Social Media in the Financial Services Industry, and was recently selected to serve as an Advisory Board Member of linkedFA, a Social network for Financial & Insurance Professionals. I have over 17 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and Project Management, I worked at Westin Hotels, United Airlines, and Wells Fargo Advisors.
I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in Interpersonal Communication Studies. As a Financial Advisor, I co-founded the Gaxiola Financial Group with my wife Kim and increased engagement, retention and dialogue with clients through the successful use of social media tools.
As the owner and Social Media Strategist at Red 7 Marketing I combine my talent for marketing, communications, coaching and project management to help small businesses and organizations incorporate social media as part of their marketing strategy. As a public speaker I enjoy sharing ways to increase social media use as part of your overall marketing strategy. I customize my speaking engagements, training seminars and private coaching sessions to suit the needs of my clients and occasionally teach courses on social media in my community.
Social Media is in its infancy in the financial services industry and there are many restrictions that are preventing individuals and broker/dealers from allowing its employees to use the tools to engage their clients, prospects and partners. I for one believe that the industry is missing an amazing opportunity to build their business and client relationships by shying away from these powerful tools.

I am active in the local community serving as President of Volunteer Morgan Hill and on the Leadership Morgan Hill Board of Director where I chair the Public Relations & Communication committee. Away from the office, I enjoy traveling, music, and spending time with the family.
